What you guys think

im right at about 70sq inches of port area why do you think it will get sloppy on the lows they are designed for this type of enclosure
you have too large of an enclosure with too much port area... the gcons dont have that strong of a motor so I would have gone with about the same volume but a little less port... let me know how it works out though. it looks nice.

Well i think it will be fine we will see, do you have any use with the gcons or any ssa subs? i built to specs so im sure they will sound good idk why ssa would recommend a peaky enclosure

in my experience with woofers that have a weaker motor, when you raise the volume but keep the port down, they will destroy the lows. keep in mind that manufacturers specs are not always the greatest.. sometimes you cant always just do what they say as their specs are kind of generic. with the port area that you have, which is about 15sq inches per cu ft, It will be hard the keep the pressure up in your enclosure that is needed for the lows.. 12-13 sq inches would have been more optimal.

Dude it's from SSA, they know their shit. Their specs should be fine to go by

And it's more like 12 to 16 sq inches of port.

That enclosure will be ABSOLUTELY fine.

Nice choice on the subs, and cute pup by the way!
