He wouldnt get 800 to 1000 for that cap - he might be able to squeezr 500 of it. ITs used on a small truck, they arnt in high demand for those small trucks, most people look for F-150 sized caps. But still good thinking there.

Thats worth between $900 and $1200 no matter what kelly or edmunds says - Those trucks do run forever but tehy have a lot of maitnence costs as they get high miles like that. You also need to check if its burning oil, thel ast time the tires were replaced and stuff like that because all that comes into play with a high milage vehicle

Any compact import truck is automatically overvalued. There are people trying to sell 10-15 year old Tacomas with almost 200k on them for just shy of $3000. They're good trucks and all, but not worth that much with that many miles.

The truck is clean and runs strong. When I priced my truck I looked around at some other comparisons and I can tell you at 1200 they all look like crap, both cars and trucks. Either the cars\trucks at that price have been ragged out and destroyed by the young generation or the owners simply just drove them in to ground. Very few are clean and haven't been modified and beat up... If you are seriously interested and have cash 1,500.00 today you can take it away. That's my bottom line.

Blue book shows 1,565 in excellent condition, and that means NOTHING is wrong with it.

 

I understand its a nice truck, but its 14 years old with 191k miles.

 

I've got 1200 cash today. If you can't go that low, I understand, but that's my offer.

he is only trying to sell it on his own because a car lot wouldn't give him more than 700-800 bucks on trade in, and he knows it.
