What would you need to hook a car amp to a home theater?

I was wondering what kinda power converter would be needed to hook a car amp up in a house? Also has anyone done it before, how were the results? Thanks for any input.

lol they rated in watts yo...I think they are peak tho...not sure. big 1k watt ones are a bit pricey but you can get up to like 700watts prty cheap.

They've already given answers to what it'll take, but have you considered the massive inefficiency problem inherent with stepping higher a/c voltage down to high amperage dc voltage? Again, this is only asked after others pointed out what types of products it would take to do just what you asked.....
