What would you guys do?

Well, a couple weeks ago I bought a sub from someone over on CACO(I think hes on here too...) The guy first claimed it was working 100% fine, but he had to reglue the spider to the frame because it was a typical problem with these subs when they first came out, I guess? Anyways, later he goes on to say this "Just an update. Sub sounds fine on rated power, once you Gain more tho I'm getting little mechanical noise. More then likely just because its an 8 inch sub trying to play 30 Hz on over 500 watts." I say Ok, that is fine with me since I wont send it more than about 250-300 anyways. He attempted to send me a video to show what it sounded like but it was pointless since it was ****** quality and I couldnt hear anything. The sub was shipped to my moms house(I just moved out a couple weeks before and forgot to change my Paypal crap) I just got around to picking it up today. It was pretty dirty but that didnt matter to me. I couldnt find my DMM so I figured I would just hook it up to my home theater receiver to test it out(receiver rated at 100w RMS at 4 ohm.) The sub is a D2, so I wired her up in series, and turned the volume to about half or so. The sub has a TERRIBLE rattle, obviously blown. After no more than about 20 seconds of it playing, POOF, there goes my receiver. Kicked it off, wont turn back on, smells terrible. Ok, now that I am done with that long *** paragraph, I wanna ask, what would you guys request from the seller of this sub, if anything? Am I the one at fault here not buying things that are guaranteed 100%? I personally think I should AT LEAST get the cash to get the sub reconed. I doubt the dude will pay to replace my receiver, I guess its my fault I trusted the guy saying the coils read normal? The coils must have been way off to blow the receiver at half volume after less than a minute. I have played a S3 ohm W7 on there at the same volume for a few minutes before and the receiver was fine.

Clif notes:

1.bought sub from dude

2. sub caused my receiver to blow because it was already blown and fucked up.

3. What would you guys ask for from the seller?
