Just curious to what ya'll thought. Would you rather get a car or a truck?

Of the two which would you take?

The only reason why I say 99 Yukon is because I don't like the newer body style!

The cars are:

00-03 Pontiac Bonneville SLE/SSEi

or

99 GMC Yukon

Both fully loaded!

Yukon, but I would also look at it in a logical point in do you need a gas ******* suv? Can you afford it, and will it be your daily? I personaly would take the car if you dont need the room, and you dont have all the spare cash for gas. I bought a suv and I am gona sell it now due to gas prices its not worth it with a car from driving to work I am actualy saving

$120 a week just driving my car to work.

always the car. Getting an suv for yourself is almost like admitting that you will weigh 700 pounds in 10 years.

Thats one of the best lines Ive ever heard on the forum. +Rep for that one...

How much driving do you do? In that department, the gas mileage of the car wins out. On the other hand, if you do a lot of hauling, or need extra room (assuming the yukon has the third row seating) for passengers, the Yukon wins out.

I picked an Olds Bravada over a Grand Am and Mustang, so you can tell which I would go with.

I personaly like driving big trucks and suv's but I have the suv and a car. The suv I drive once and awhile and the car is a daily. If you get the yukon you should really get a cheap car as well it will save you in the long run, adding a cheap car cost me $30 more a month in insurance 1k for the car and I saved that money in just 3 months of driving the car instead of the suv.

I really like both cars....My job is over 40mins away. Gas money isn't that big of a deal to me.....but The Bonneville is a supercharged and it's going to need Premium anyways. So either way gas will be about the same....just boils down to what I want in the end...I was thinkin' the Yukon because of Audio reasons but those Bonnevilles are really nice!

So I don't know....

try doing this...sit down and look at the cost of gas, oil changes, tuneups, tires, insurance, look at the service intervals for everything as well....If you still have the $$ for the yuk go for it but remeber the car has enuff room for an ok system, will be cheaper, and will give better performance. You do sacrifice the room though....

I see a lot of yuks at work on a regualr basis and most are not in the best of shape they tend to need front end work at a young age and lots of work to keep there fuel milage respectable...might want to look to another suv but stay FAR away from trailblazers and as much as I hate ferds...might want to look into the escape

the comfort level in an SUV just can't be touched. i am thinking of getting rid of my explorer, but that is a big factor for me. and yeah, i weigh 153 pounds. you don't have to be a fatty to drive a big truck.

Well The Yukon is in perfect shape two owners and is in Meraculous shape. I'm going to be gettin' that really cheap because it's my friends. The Bonneville has more features etc. etc. and will be a lot faster and what not and probably even more fun to drive....I just really don't know. Because I really want a big truck as well! They are always fun and I wanted to take it mudding etc.

always the car. Getting an suv for yourself is almost like admitting that you will weigh 700 pounds in 10 years.
