How much will you make (estimated) after you graduate? If the outcome of your education will offer you FAR more than your current rate, be poor for a bit. If only a smaller difference, tough it out with school for a couple more years.

You are making 44,720 right now (no OT) which is above the U.S. median last time I looked. Your already doing well for yourself.

Regardless your on the right track. Finish your education. I'm riding on this raise train that is going to de-rail sooner or later and I'm going to be screwed. I'm thinking because I make 57+ a year that I don't need to finish my education. I'm only fooling myself. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I really want to be where my father is at. Working an easy job for $90k a year. He is a Business annalist for a mortgage company. Easy work (I spent a week there learning a few years ago)

I dont necessarily want to do that work, but financially that is where I would like to be at 40 years old...add inflation too lol.

As far as money now vs. education. I know of some in my department that work the next level above me making a good 25-30k more a year then me. I feel that a degree would help me move up MUCH faster then not having it and relying on my experience.

Moving out would be nice however if you can live at home may be nicer financially, plus maybe a bit more structure for getting your school work done and such. Besides you can't beat free food lol. I vote for 1 with the OPTION of moving out.

I still don't understand why #1 requires you to move out.
Its doesnt at all. I just think that and know that I could/would like to. And that situation, the one Im in now, I can.

Moving out breaks down to about $300 more a month in rent and around $50 more in utilities...

personally i would rather be retired at 40 than working...

Doing that too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Im throwing atleast $500 a month in my A.G Edwards accounts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That's IT?

I'd say either you're paying your parents alot more than most people who are living at home, or you have serious misconceptions about the cost of living out on your own.

Not dogging you, as I don't know your specific situation, just pointing out how that sounds to those of us who have a little more worldly experience.

I pay $450 in rent, half utilities and pay my own food. I move out an apartment if I didnt have a room mate would be $750ish and utilities might be cheaper. Seeing I now pay ~$180-200 an apartemnt cant be much more then that.
