What would need done to convert my Honda's 6x9 to components?

After this latest disappointment I was thinking about just putting a set of 6.5's components back there for fill. What would have to be done to mod the 6x9 hole to make it work? Anyone sell an adapter?

I'm pretty sure partsexpress has them, but from what I hear the store bought ones are kinda flimsy. If I was you I would just make my own out of some wood or mdf.

An MDF mounting ring is much sturdier but you may have to mount it to the bottom of the rear deck because if you try to mount it on top with the speaker on top of the ring you may have clearance problems with your grills.

they sell adaptor plates on ebay, like $10. they are pretty sturdy, i used some but then later made some outta mdf, but they worked fine though.
