Birch ply wood and hdf is better but more money depends if you have the cash. Plexi will work but its hard to work with and doesn't always sound as good as wood.

I am going to build one out of advantech (a type of plywood) and resin in the upcoming weeks.

Plexi can look cool, but is going to be very expensive. I would say go with some MDF or baltic birch and call it good.

if youve got thick plexi it performs quite well. you wont be flexing with that, but its real expensive, especially to get it to look good. i just double up on mdf if flexing is an issue and brace.

3/4" - 1" plexi ftw. Higher resonant frequency means you can hit higher frequencies cleaner with your sub and thick plexi is very solid!

But it's uber expensive, and difficult to work with compared with wood if you've never done it.
