What wire?

I'm hookin up an Orion 2500d to a DD 9515. Would it be ok to use 4 awg wire? I know the orion sucks up a ton of power and I have some of this wiring laying around. Its only temporary, say 6 months or so and after that I will be gettin 1/0 wiring when I get a new car. But would it be ok to use 4 gauge?

amp has 2 4ga inputs therefore 4ga is where its at

You can't just run one line of 4awg to the 2500D.

It has dual power supplies, therefore the amp will not run if one of the supplies does not have power.

You can still run the 4awg, just run two lines of it from the battery.
