What will happen to my sound quality if i strip everything out of my car????

Tommorrow, im planning to completely strip the interior of my car......

Door cards, carpets, rear seats, roof lining, dash. Everything possible!

Ive got a decent audio system, front speakers and tweaters, 6x9's and 2 JL Audio W3 Subs.

I has wondering if anyone could advise me about how stripping the interior is going to affect the sound quality...................???

Id be gratefull of anyones knowledge

If you strip it down to the metal, sound quality will likely decrease as you'll be introducing many more reflective surfaces and stripping away many of the things that used absorb some of the soundwaves (like how an empty room echos, only you're then lining the walls with sheetmetal).

Bass might increase a little, though.

I'm guessing this strip-down is just going to be temporary though.......

Mine's mostly bare metal on the interior, but it came from the factory like that, I didn't go out of my way to do it...

Are you striping the interior of your car for some purpose other than to increase your sound quality?

If the answer is no to that question then yes....it's a bad idea.

i just fancy the bare metal look........... with lots of custom fabrication and chrome hydraulic pumps

but i dont wanna rip it all out if my system is gonna sound like a big pile of shite

I would take the seats out and put in lawn chairs. the amount of sound that is blocked or sucked up by the seats is sickening. would prbably remove the windows to, especially the windshield since the reflection from glass is terrible.
