I have a double wide opening in my deck, and was wondering with all the different features available out there in head units, which brand gives the best and most useful features for the least amount of money? What ones have the best reception?

Although it's not a double din, I'd go with the Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X693. It got a ton of features like a 5 band graphic EQ, 2 way crossovers, time alignment, and an awesome iPod/USB interface. I've got one in my girlfriend's car and it's definitely a nice HU. You probably can't do better for the money.
