Do a search for test tones......there was somebody who was hosting a buttload of test tones on their website that could be downloaded for free.

do a search in the forums. there was something called nch tone generator i believe. not sure how well it works.

Mids don't really lend themselves to being set with sine waves. Too many variables in the installation. Can't always set for "xx number of watts" like you can for subs. If you do go this route, be sure to disconnect your speakers first.

I use different music for different aspects of gain setting. Something loud and clear like Linkin Park is a good allround source. Some old Beatles for setting hipass freq, and various pieces for setting tweeter attenuation. If your setting up midbass drivers I use Chili Peppers.
