What type of amp should i get?

I have rockford fosgate p2L-212. They are in the original enclosed box.

400 watts rms

800 watt peak

4ohm

I'm not too sure on what type of amp i should get, any help would be great. What specs would i need? could you even find one in milwaukee craigslist?

Dual 4 ohm?

If so you'll need an amp that does 800-1000 at one or 4 ohms.

A strong 2 channel will do it at 4 ex: kicker 850.2

with the new fosgate woofers i wouldnt go over rms power if you wanna keep them long ,so i'd go 800 watts rms at the most .

can you afford this one? MB Quart ONX1.1000D - ONYX Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier/Amp

it is a very good amp for the price - in fact IMO, hard to beat for the money.

while that amp would work it is a really poor choice.

Go to the WTB section and see if you can get a 600 - 800 watt at 4 ohm amp for 100 shipped.

someone after me is going to tell you that you want a 1 ohm stable amp - and while that is true I think it would be better with the budget to stick at 4 ohm cause IMO most 1 ohm stable amps you will get at that price have been well beat on and might not have much life left in them.

I really recommend you save up some more and get that MB Quart amp linked above as it will last you a long time and will work with a lot of different subwoofers that you may get down the road.
