What type and placement of box for dual 8 or 10" shallow depth subs for 2011 Hyundai Veracruz?

Okay, I keep learning and keep asking questions. I am abandoning the replacement of the stock sub. Too many variables. I'm now considering a sealed box with two 8 or 10" shallow depth subs. I am more concerned with SQ over SPL as I listen to all types of music and don't need to rattle the windows . . . looking for clean, distinct musicality vs loud boom-boom.

1. Should I keep my third row seats up and buy a truck-style box? OR
2. Should I buy a flat but wide box with subs firing up with placement close to the hatch door?
3. With the size of these boxes (about 36: wide or so) will they still need to be fastened down? If needed, is there a fastening system that will allow easy removal of the sub box when the cargo area is used? Latches?

The amp specs for the sub channel
RMS Power at 1Ω 1280 Watts x 1 Channel (14.4v)
RMS Power at 2Ω 980 Watts x 1 Channel (14.4v)
RMS Power at 4Ω 600 Watts x 1 Channel (14.4v)
RMS Power at 8Ω 300-400 Watts x 1 Channel (14.4v)

4. Again with SQ being a priority, can anyone recommend shallow-depth DVC 8" or 10" subs that represent a great value? I'm thinking about $150-175 (or less) for each sub . . and $65-$100 for a Rockville box. I haven't really researched boxes yet I just ran across Rockville . .

Thanks

I think I recommended these to you already, but if not, Bazooka BT1024DVC or BT8024DVC. They are subs in a tube that have a high sensitivity and excellent playback. They are not heavy and can be easily removed when need be.

I do sincerely appreciate your feedback but I dislike bazookas . . .
In that case, the Alpine subs that AnthonyO is selling are another great option. They are the Alpine S2-W10D4. The recommended sealed box per sub is 0.4-0.85 cubic feet. So with a sealed box of 1 to 1.5 cubic feet you can mount both subs in it. Being that you have an SUV, the bass will be amplified but with the control of a sealed box.

These are also very good drivers, some of the best bang for the busk on shallow mounts. DD Audio SL610-D2 10"
