a 1.87 cubic foot box tuned to 30 hertz

or a 1.83 cubic foot box tuned to 33 hertz?

will it still be able to get some high notes in the 30 hertz box? cuz thats what sundown recommends

Depends what you consider high. I had my 15 in a box tuned to 31hz (not a sundown it was something different) and I could hit everything up to about 60hz and then anything after that started sounding like crap

Depends what you consider high. I had my 15 in a box tuned to 31hz (not a sundown it was something different) and I could hit everything up to about 60hz and then anything after that started sounding like crap

i put my filter on my speakers for lowest to 80 hertz and the sub for the highest to be 80 hertz so thats really the highest id have it. i have a ten inch right now tuned to 33 hertz and it can't hit the highs at all really but it's an RE and those are meant to be low i think. will it at least make noise up to that high with 30 hertz?

My RE Audio SRi are tuned to 31hz, and they get up to bout 60hz, then they roll off real steep, 70hz is practically inaudible, but I don't miss it one bit.

x2 I'm tuned at 29-30hz ATM, and if i go above about 63hz its sounds purty nasty. The 33hz tuning might get ya up to about 80. when i had my SA-8s i was also tuned to 30hz and same scenario.

In all reality a 3 hz shift in tuning will not be very audible -- moving your box around the vehicle could yield a more significant change in sound / actual in-car tuning.
