i am looking at getting a little battery to put in the back with my stereo.

right now i am looking at the stinger spv35 because i can get it for right at 100.

i would like to get something like the spv44 but i dont want to spend the 170 or whatever they sell for.

could someone recommend an odyssey or any other brand that would be comperable to either one but not as expensive?

thanks,

well i dont have the electrical system to back anything up.

i think my stock alt is like 85-90 amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

and those are more than i would like to spend.

so now the question is,

Stinger spv35 or just pick up a big interstate battery since my parents are interstate dealers. Dealer prices FTW...!!!

well my only problem is that they arent sealed batteries and would be pretty much sealed up in my trunk.

if i go with the interstate should i just not worry about it. or set it up somehow that the gases from the battery vent outside of the trunk (i have a large opening on the side of the trunk floor from the factory that i could use)

maybe the folks could pick up some other AGM type batteries???
Well yeah, they carry optima too.

the dealer prices arent that good on those though all 3 are over 110 before mark-up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

i have a neverstart maxx under the hood.

if i got an optima should i put it under the hood and put the neverstart in the trunk?

or leave it where it is and put the optima in the trunk. i am only going to be running 700-800ish watts rms so i dont have a huge strain on the system.

it might go up to 1200ish later though.

i think the guy at TBP w/the probe was selling his old ones for way less.

If you only have 800watts then why even bother with a dual batt setup ?

Unless you have the gains cranked and listen at a high volume i dont see a big problem with just 1 batt and your somewhat weak alternator.
