What to look for in a car

So it would include a new interior and a new outside color and such? And you can get a rolling chassis for only $500 dollars you said? We have a mechanic in town that fixes and does all the work with our cars. Just any mechanic should be able to do it? Any other inputs on good cars or anything? On what to look for in general?
I think you need to join a car forum or just research about cars period. Think of your car you have now with no engine or transmission, that would be a rolling chassis.

Thanks for the input! Not too many of my friends are into cars or anything so i'm not sure of anyone who would know how to do that! But do you believe i would be able to find a shell at a junk yard? Or where would the best place be to look for one? I checked craigslist but nothing on there that i could see! And any certain models of the imports that are known or good?

This is what I use to run back in the early days its just sitting at the warehouse collecting dust...Its a 6cylinder so its still pretty good on gas...

And i agree, i wouldn't mind researching or learning more about cars! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I just don't know where to start or what sites are good or anything of that sort!

So do you think i should research civics first or cars in general? Is it best to join a forum or just use google or what? And where should i start? Also i want to keep on task about what to look for also! thanks for all the help!

Civics are cheap, reliable, great on gas, super easy to work on, very readily-available, and parts are cheap. I miss my civic for that last reason especially //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I would research civics, especially since you already have (at least access to) one. They are great cars to learn on. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And joining a forum for the generation of civic you have would be where I would start.

CRX now you're just bragging //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

5th gen, as that's one gen after mine (88-91). Mine was commonly called the EF generation, I'll check wikipedia for what yours is called //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

edit: yours I believe is the EG civic. Here is the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_civic#Fifth_generation_.281992.E2.80.931995.29_-_EG.2C_EH.2C_EJ1.2C_EJ2 and yep google is your forum friend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
