Do you want to get components later? Cause that is what they are going to recommend here probably.haha i just bought this car because i totalled my 2004 honda civic ex //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif .
so i think i'm just going to get the two new speakers for now, and get everything else later. what ones in particular do you recommend if i just want two and i want to use them later with my whole set when i get more money? thanks
yeah i think so. if i got the coaxials, would i have to replace them with components later or could i use them along with the components?Do you want to get components later? Cause that is what they are going to recommend here probably.
best to go with components, night and day difference as far as SQ goes. I didn't read through the thread so I don't know your budget. But a decent start would be a HU, component set, and a 2-ch. amp for the components.yeah i think so. if i got the coaxials, would i have to replace them with components later or could i use them along with the components?
ok thanks, the 50 dollar ones sound like a good idea for now. would you recommend buying some random ones just from best buy or somewhere or do you think there are some particular ones i should get?for you, i would just spend 50 bucks on some cheap coaxials to get you some sound, then save up for your first system. a VERY basic system would be:
-new HU
-4 ch amp
-front components
-1 small sub
then you would use the front channels of the amp to power your speakers, and the rear channels to power the sub. taking it to the next step would be to get a separate amp for the sub, but then you will want to get into wiring/electrical upgrades. and then you get sucked in and it never ends! lol
btw, that first little system i mapped out for you can be had for less than $500 with all new equipment depending on what you choose and if you install it yourself, or have a friend do it rather than taking it to BB or CC or an audio shop. if you buy used stuff you could definitely get yourself a "system" for under $300 with all of those components listed. just an fyi for how much you will probably have to save up to upgrade later.
