What to do with extra set of 5.25 comps???

Hi,

I have an extra pair of Alpine Type R 5.25" Components.

My current set up consists of the following:

Dash 4"

Door 5.25"

Rear 4 x 6

Sub single 8"

I have an extra pair of Alpine Type R 5.25" comps that i dont know what to do with.

I was thinking of just using the 2 woofers and putting them in a custom fabricated sealed box in the trunk and running them off the rear speaker channel. I would use a 4 channel amp to power the two 4 x 6 and the two 5.25.

Would this give me any benefit at all or is it just a waste of space , money and time?

i cant really sell the set becuase the idiot who installed them a few years back Hot Glued the tweeters to the old 4" speakers that were in the dash location.

I there a solvent that will safely remove the black hot glue?
