What to BUY????!%

I drive a 2000 sebring lxi~ and the sound system SUCKS@#@# i don't really know alot about buying a complete system ~ but i'm looking for a system that will have a good kick but well rounded sound~ i like hardcore metal music and with some good bass but i want solid guitar riffs too~ my cousin is all about the bass in his car~ id like to have some bass but still have good sound when it comes to mids and etc.~ any tips for me

My cars speaker sizes that fit

Front Door 6-3/4", 6-1/2", 5-1/4"

Rear Deck 6"x9", 6-1/2", 5-1/4"

ive been reading alot of good reviews for polk audio component speakers??? and was looking at this head http://www.crutchfield.com/S-vaEfeO...=130dehp77d#Tab

i'm looking to buy everything from the head to the front door speakers to the back deck speakers to some subs and amps~ just don't know what to buy to get a good solid rock stereo sound

rainbow slc 265 (230 direct)

AA poly mids 6.5s $50ish from AA

phoenix gold x200.4 ($375ebay)

2 AA Assassin 10s (140+ s/h from AA)

phoenix gold x600.1 ($200ebay)

you could go with higher end subs, but the SQ oin these is amazing.. and will get low too.. those rainbows should be second to none on clarity.. those AA mids would do nicely for rear fill that 4 channel amp will run the comps and rear mids hard.. the x600.1 will pound those 10s, most put out like 800 watts at2 ohm (400 each fort the subs, they are rated 350rms)

you couldnt go wrong this way, and it is on the low side of your budget for sure..

are the aa arsenal subs any good? more for rap than rock??

and if you ditch the rear fill alltogether, then you could get the x200.2, instead of the x200.4 and save a couple hundred..

never used the arsenal... but i listen to squizz on XM ch48 (new hard rock) and some rap, techno, and these assassins amaze me at how accurate rock sounds and how low the bass notes go.. the arsenals are a step up, so i would imagin they are even better, but i honestly dont know how they could be : )

I have an Avenger Rainbow Slcs up front and No Rear fill if done right you can still hear most the music in tha backseat anyway, i think it sounds decent in my backseat.

Do you have the stock Infinity speakers/Amp?

why the 200.4? isnt that 200x4? thats a LOT of overhead IMO... most speakers dont need more than 100... a 100.4 would be more cost efficient IMO
