What the heck is this control?

My Profile AP1000 will be here in the morn...it looks like it comes with this knob you see in the pic below.

What is it ? a gain control?

Either a remote gain control or a remote bass boost control

I install them in the bottom of the tool box or the nearest trash can..

I took a look at the Profile website, and there is no bass-level or gain-level knob listed for that amplifier. If you are buying it from a dealer, they may include one with the amp, but I am not sure which it would be. Maybe call or email the dealer to find out. Good luck!

The AP1000M has a bass level control.......gain control. Better than a bass boost controller for sure.
