Assuming you can port them and feed them over 500 watts RMS apiece. If not, then you'd be better off with a different sub. Type Rs don't exactly offer an extravagant amount of freedom with the install. Their potential is reached in big ported boxes with a lot of power. With what I've read and seen, in most other installs they're just mediocre.

How about IA 187s? They may not have the #s Type R has, but in every other department it has 'em beat.
