What Subs??

I have a Profile California AP1200 amp and I was wondering what subs would you guys recommend me getting and the best match with this amp. Im looking for 2 12" subs for under $200. Thanks

200 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms

300 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms

600 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms

...hmm well hell, *off the top of my head*

You can get two SWR-1241D Type R's, the 4-ohm DVC coils would work well, and with 300 watts RMS, thats the about right amount of power, only thing I'm worried about is if the amp will clip the signal if you turn it up.

Do note, I am not talking about the new 05' models, but you can get some new(un-used) type-r's (SWR-1241D) for cheap.

Looking around I guess a lot of shops already don't have them in stock no more...but here are some decent used ones for ~130 shipped, (2)

I suppose you could always get the 05' models they would probaly fair pretty well without the power maxed out, or you could get two kicker comp CVR's which run 400 watts RMS...either way, the Alpines have more potential but the Kickers MAY* run better off the weaker amp.
