what subs...

Well that amp outputs 1000w @ 2 ohms. I would recommend running 1 dual 4 ohm subwoofer. Otherwise you could run two different single 4 ohm subwoofers. Just make sure that you wire them up for a two ohm load around 1000 watts. Otherwise if you wire them as a 4 ohm load, you'll only be supplying about 500 watts.

As far as getting a sub that hits harder. There are a lot of options for you. If you have a lot of money, you could power two SI D2's fairly well, but it will cost you $600 + a box.

You could also power two dual 2 ohm subs with a series/parallel wiring configuration. There are endless possibilities.

I would say, let us know what size box you have or plan to use, if you want 10's, 12's, or something else. If you want one or two drivers. And how much you plan to spend.

Then we can try and help you out.

i dont have a box made up or anything, but it would be going in the trunk of a civic 99 ex. and i would still like to have some space left in the trunk after the sub is in. it doesnt matter really if its 1 or 2 subs, i just want more spl

Before you buy new subs, try building yourself a ported box...it'll take more space, but assuming you are currently running sealed, it'll boost your spl for $20 instead of $400, something to try.

If that's not appealing however, a single 15...either xxx, elemental a, or something along those lines would work well, more towards xxx with that much power
