What Subs

What subs should i get that will be very loud and pretty clear. I want 12s and i want something that i can power with my 2 JL500/1 amps (one to each 12). they put out 500 RMS and i made a custom box that is really pretty cool, I want something that will POUND, I was going to get 2 12w6v2s but i dont think that i want to spend all my money on something like that. I looked at the treos and i looked at audiopipes but i still need some suggestions. I want something that will hit around 144-145 DB. I DONT LIKE KICKERS SO DONT SUGGEST IT. I have had all JL Audio Subs so i want to try something new. Let me Know the max i want to spend is 400 for 2 subs. Thanks. What are people talking about when they say the XXX subs. Thanks Mike

What are people talking about when they say the XXX subs.

The XXX is created by RE audio and can be found http://reaudio.com/ . Be careful with the MT, one 15" can easily break the 150db with the right setup.

You may also want to take a look at SoundSplinter.com (the RL-p 12"). There are other fantastic subs out there which I'm sure I haven't even heard of. Judging from your comments, you already know what you are looking for. Post some pics of the box if you could... would be interesting to see.

heh i highly doubt your going to hit numbers that large with 1) sealed box 2) power you are putting out

i would go for two incriminator LI12's or two RE SE12s

You would need to strap 2 JL 500/1's together to even get one XXX to move. RMS rating of a XXX is 1600 rms... Takes atleast 1000 to get it to its full potential. You would be better off getting 2 12 inch SE's
