Alright I have come to my senses and I have a real question for you guys. I was the one that wanted to put 4 type Rs in the Eclipse. Know that I think about it, there will not be enough space and I think that I can do better with less. Basically I want a lot of SPL but also SQ. Lets put it this way, I wanna be heard down the block. What kind of Subs and Amps shpuld I get?

I think you would still be fine with Two type R's. Ported.

Dude to tell u the truth pretty much anything ported to the right specs in a hatchback type car will wang period. u will be impressed with the spl and sq of 2 type R's in a line ported box to the right specs. Just push some good clean power to them and u should be good. 4 type r's would be punishing to the ear drums, and i hope this is a DD car because 2 will be perfectly fine

Look into a crossfire or US amps if your looking for good clean pwer. Orion has pretty decent prices and the amps r ok i have an Orion 2500d and its ok. But u would probably need between 1000 and 1500 watt amp

two type r's ported with the correct volume will give you some insane sq, with spl to go along with it, now you need the correct box for this and my bud spkrman can build you the best one for that. I am sending you a pm about it.

Also if you get two alpine 12's type r dual 2, then get one orion 2500d and ur seT!
