If you get a correctly done console box, and give the L7 plenty of airspace with a decent port you would get great enjoyment out of it.

what do u mean to much power for a single cab? as long as you can fit 2.25 cubes in there it would be a great choice.

An ICON would be much louder in a proper box and being powered at RMS than a DCON in a proper box being powered at RMS. I'd be willing to bet that a DCON would be a great choice, and they're cheap. If you end up wanting more bass, you could probably sell the DCON on here pretty quickly.

the question about too much power is that I do not want a sub that has so much power in the little single cab that it is going to drown out the noise from my speakers. Sorry im new to high quality audio and i have been in too many HS friends cars to know I want to be able to actually listen to my music and not just distortion from the component speakers.

are you not upgrading your speakers and amping them inside the car, you will drown out the speakers with an l7 or icon but the icon is a million times better sub then the l7. if you are not upgrading your mids and amping them id go with a lowe r power sub like

component set for sure, cadence has alot of good budget sets. Just google cadence 6.5 components, boston acoustics also has a nice set for around 70 on sonicelectronixs.com
