I am trying to decide between two kicker vr 15's or two mtx 6000 15's. Or if neone has any better ideas that i could get two 15's for about 250?

get the vr man, the 6000's compete with the regular comps, the vrs are much better

I completly agree with BASSBOY. MTX makes nice amps, but to put it bluntly, MTX subwoofers ****. I've only seen a few 8000's that I even listened to and thought were pretty good. I think that the 8000's are the only thing to compete with the Kicker Com VR's (that mtx makes)... Just get the VR's, you'd be happy.

MTX makes some good stuff! Something i've seen that is insane that nobody even talks about, is the MTX RFL152. It is a little expensive, but it comes w/ a lot. It only comes in 15" and it is a dual 2 ohm voice coil that handles 2000 watts rms and 4000 peak.(1000 per coil) . It has an inverted polyester surround w/ 4.35" of peak to peak excursion. a lot of other stuff too.

it even comes with a cone rebuild kit, that's if u can even blow it.....which prolly won't happen.

Hey big bass man once i saw some dude on a forum talking about how the rfl in the proper enlcosure could sound really good. with a q of .707 or some bs like that.. he was an rfl lover, it was funny as hell.

But hey, rangerman said you had heard, or you have some elemental sp 15's? is that true? If so how are they, are they as good as a Brahma 15, as loud, as good of SQ? sorry to ask you on here but i figure you'll see the link in your email if you get those like i always do. I was thinking about ordering one of those if they are as good, since they are over 100 less right now.

the Kickers are awsome fo rthe money and are structurally stronger than the MTX

one dd is equal to a rfl in the right box and its 400 bucks cheaper

i think either would be a good choice. enclosure is the factor. if that's wrong, neither will sound good.

rmn is right. dd is as good as the rfl and is cheaper
