what sub to get with my new speakers

I just ordered my new speakers last night and I got rid of my type-r because i want something different. Personaly i liked my old mb quart reference sub better than the Alpine. Anyways I got morel maximo 6 componets and maximo 6x9 's. I'm looking for sound quality and was thinking a single 8 or 10 that handle 500w rms. Ones I have looked at are the tc sounds epic 8 and 10 and the ssa d-con 10(this says it wont get as low as the epic). I am new to alot of brands I have learned about on here so please suggest others if you know of any.
