What sub is better?

i need help finding a sub. i have a 800 watt powerbass amp. going on a 10" orion sub in a ported box. I want to replace the orion with either and alpine e, kenwood, infinity, or pioneer? I want something that will hit hard and loud.

ok when u say an 800watt amp, do u mean 800 watts RMS or peak. because peak really means nothing when it comes to subs n amps.

Especially if you're just using a single 10" sub set up.

U need a Kicker, RE, FI, or something along those lines

if u wanna have a loud/hard hitting single 10" sub.

well, is it a 4ch or 2ch?? cuz the asa400.4 is a 4ch and the asa400.2 is the 2ch model.

you wont be getting too loud with that amp or any of thoe subs you listed

so you need a woofer that can handle 400rms round about. Kicker comp VR's should handle that well. Alpine Type R's could handle it but would probably want a little more power

Well, the only good sub best buy carries is the type-R. and its WAYYYYYY overpriced. yeah just go to an audio shop dudee. trust me, best buy and circuit city's car audio section isnt all that great, and all there stuff is really overpriced. yeahhh
