What Size Speaker Wire & Brand Should I Use?

Car is an 89 Camaro

I have a DLS RA50 amp (it will going in the rear hatch area).

Sub is an ID Q12D4

Front end is ID CXS62

DLS recommends 12 ga for the sub and 13-16ga for the other speakers.

Should I run 12 ga or 14 ga to the CXS62?

Does it matter?

Also what brand speaker wire should I go with?

I use Knukonceptz wire. as for size the bigger the better but 14 gage should be fine

I would buy knu. I used 8 gauge for my sub and 14 for my speakers.

Size of wire will depend on power and what impedance you will be running at (wire sized by current, not power).

1000 watts @ 2 ohms does not require wire as large as 1000 watts @ 1 ohm. . .

Parts Express has 30 ft rolls of 12 ga on sale for $6.50.

Whichever one you feel like paying for. For speaker wire, I go to walmart and buy a 50 ft roll of 14 gauge home audio wire. It works well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
