what size gauge to use

Do brand names amp kit really matter alot. I already have a amp kit in my car so can i just buy the power and ground wires. Im putting my amp in the trunk and my battery is in the trunk also, so can i just run my ground wire from my battery ground

name DOES matter, when it comes to honesty. I got a shitty 1/0 kit from Stinger and it was mostly casing, no wire. Compare that with the kicker 1/0 kit I just bought and kicker's wire is amazing. A well respected company will usually have high strand count wire with equal to or thicker than AWG specifications.

Brand name does play a pretty big role when it comes to using larger wires. Some 1/0 kits have the same amount of wire as 2 and some 4 guage kits.So beware and take advise from guys here that know.Kicker and memphis kits are great $^)

Get the kicker 1/0 hyper flex. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif by the way, this amp is super-solid. Mine puts out 1700+ RMS at 2 ohms.

More then enough power to get my 2 15 L7s slappin

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Hey 187, If it's between 2 or 4 ga go with the 2 ga. As for names, they matter to a certain point, but if you really can't make the cut for a nice kit buying a cheap brand isn't gonna totally ruin your system. But if you have the money, go for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif!

(Reason i quoted Foote : //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif glad to hear the amp puts out 200+w over the rating, i'm the one the recommended the amp in another thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)

It's a great amp, i've never seen the 1500 used but i have a friend running the 2500 and he loves it ^^

I think it's always good to lay down 0 gauge wire. I did 4 in my car and now that I want to add another amp it has to come out again (ARGH). That way you're good for any future upgrades, as 0 will power most anything (unless of course you're using like 3 2500W amps lol).
