What size fuses do i need?

Putting my distro block in and i need to know what size fuses to put in. Is 4g from batt to block, will be 2 4gauge out to a p6002 (600rms sub) and a PR4400.4(280rms doors). I researched this topic and havnt found a definite answer, theres a 200 or 250 up front.

I always fuse for wire unless amp does not have onboard fuses. But some will fuse the wire with the same size fuse the amps onboard has just for peace of mind.

Most 4g handles 150A. Remember, you fuse based on the wire not the amp.

So in short, i could fuse for each amps rating Or put a 150a on each

If i have over a 150 up front is it pointless?

best thing is to fuse for the max amp that wire is rated for. Your onboard fuses will protect ur amp. Not sure what u mean by 150 up front??

Theres a 200a(i think, maybe bigger) fuse on my battery under the hood. Is it pointless to have a fuse that large if 4gauge can only hold 150a's?

Any fuse you put up there is gonna pop if you short something out, but matching the fuses with your wire is more or less if you just turn up your amp more than your wire can handle, which shouldn't happen in the first place, assuming you are using the recommended wire gauge for your amp

I am, both amps are 4g max

if all ur wire in ur car is 4awg and its rated at 150max then u need to use 150a fuses at every holder
