What size focals for me? Help.

I'm purchasing some Focal components for my f150 truck.

I already have Boston RC820 component speakers in all 4 doors.

These speakers have a tweet and a 5X7 oval speaker......

Now -- Should I get the Focal 165K2P 6.5" components or the K2P 5.25" components? The power-handling is different for both obviously... I have a JL 450/4 amp pushing these..... 150X2 front ---75X2 rear......

Suggestions?

I see....

I just don't want to be wasting money on 6.5" components when the 5.25" will work just fine for the amp I have.......

Is there something wrong with the 5.25" components? Would I be disappointed with them?

They should be a huge upgrade over the Bostons I have.....

You will get a slightly fuller midrange and better bass on the low end with the larger cone. I'm not sure how much modding if any would be needed to fit the 6.5" components, but if you don't want to mess with it go with the 5.25" if you don't mind it then try the 6.5". I guarantee you will be happy with either.

imo u get the 5.25 if you don't want to spend as much as the 6.5 or you can't fit 6.5. but since you can go with the 6.5 if you can spend the money
