What setup would be better?

looking to do a set-up for a buddy of mine in an '06 f-350 fx4 king ranch. hes looking to put a box behind the back seat. he has room for both 3 10'' kicker compvt's or 2 12'' compvt's. going sealed, which would sound better? thanks

id go for the 12s because they have almost the same cone area and it will cost less, and be easier to wire to a mono amp
