What re audio is better? need help

but whatever you do, DO NOT BUY FROM DEALER COST CAR AUDIO. i tried buying the same exact sub, and i havent seen an update for a month and a half. but after threating emails and BBB complaints, i got my money back, and them ppl talk to you if you were stupid with there short, nonsense answers. im telling you from experience, dont buy from them. EVER. (not a rant, im still pissed off for wasting my time on them.) lol

Just gonna say, don't buy from dealer cost audio...

BTW: RE SE, as mentioned earlier are more SQL subs. They get pretty loud and also sound very nice. They will not however like 1000w like 1mtx1 said to put on it. Stick closer to the 600-800 range and go with about 4.0cf and 32hz tuning for the enclosure.

2.82ft^3 before sub and port displacement, and 5/8" MDF. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

2.92ft^3 before sub and port displacement, 39-40hz tuning after displacements, and 5/8" MDF...no thanks.

OP, either build a box yourself or have someone reputable on her build one for you...both of those boxes are horrible for the SE. Something like 3.75-4ft^3 with a 30-32hz tuning will work well.

Totally agree with you, neither are great for a 15" RE SE and building it himself or having someone build it would be ideal. But, both are 10 times better then what he was looking at originally. And if he is doing it on a budget and cannot afford to have one built or doesnt have the time to build one, they will work unless he can find one that is large enough that someone is willing to ship for $50 or less.

Actually, a better suggestion if you cannot afford it or cannot build it yourself, is to find a cheap 1.5 to 2.0 cuft seal box. That way it will sound like it is suppose to till you can get a proper vented box and really unleash those beasts.

True, the one he linked to was very bad.

Where the hell are these companies even buying 5/8" mdf? lol
3/4 is so common, 5/8 cant be much cheaper, if at all.
Probably cause it cuts down on the shipping weight. And it a little cheaper.

How else can they sell a carpeted box for $39 bucks shipped. Actually I dont see how they make any money at on something like that.
