2 dual 2 ohms subs wired like this

Sub 1

Coil 1 + to Coil 2 -

Coil 1 - to Coil 2 +

Sub 2

Same as sub 1

Sub 1 coil 1+ to sub 2 coil 1 +

Sub 1 coil1 2 - to Sub 2 coil 2 -

to mono amp + and -

Yep that's 2 ohms. You wired each sub in series which brings them both up to 4 ohms then paralleled back down to the amp for a final load of 2

Thats what I thought. So why the hell did my amp just stop? I was hooking up my new subs, I was going to run them at 2ohms until they loosened up and I was going to .5.. I wired it up, turned the car on and the amp shut off, toggled the switch, amp turned back on then turned off again. Now it doenst do ****, inline fuse sparks when I try to install it. I opened it up and nothing looks burnt.. I dont get it, all I was doing is changing the subs out

Check your ground for the amp and check the power wire. More than likely when you moved everything around to rewire the subs you messed up something.

^ this... and what amp are you running?? thinkin you might be bridging an amp thats only 4ohm stable mono, but thats OUT there, lol

Its a Crescendo BC2000 thatI have been running at .5 for about a month now.. All I was doing is changing out the subs.. Im getting some gut pics uploaded now

rule of thumb bro... anytime you pull a ground, either sand it or grind it again... oxidation can cause excessive restriction, and can be very hard to see

I didnt do anything with the amp. I only noticed the fuse sparking thing because I pulled it out to check it.

just start troubleshooting.. take a DMM to your power terminals, and see what you get (including your remote)

dont see any obvious problems... looks like your fets are still good... i'm going to put my bet on power issue
