currently i have 2 12" Duals in a bandpass enclosure that are rated at 1100 peak and 400-600 rms. i have it hooked up to a boss ch800 which is 4 channel at 150x4 rms or 800x2 peak. i estimate about 400 rmsx2. i have my duals bridged so ~400 rms to them meaning about 200 rms to each sub. i have been told to upgrade my amp because "boss is cheaply made", or so ive been told. i paid 142.92 for it, shipped. i kind of like my system, and everything is under a month old and is barely used. can someone plz give me advise on wether to upgrade subs or amp or both and if so to what. on crutchfield i have been looking at their infinity perfect 12.1's or 10.1's. tell me what you think!

First question you will always get: What's your budget?
hmmm, budget budget budget... its kind of tight, and i dont want to pay more than 200 for both subs, seeming as how i dont have a job at the time...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

well whats the normal price? like 500 or something? lets say 600 is the limit and then work done from there in price... so the infinity perfects wouldnt be good to upgrade for that much?

i got my 12"idmax for 220 used.. i strongly recommend you go with a single "supersub." that amp probably wont be enough for the sub though.. you should look for a decent 400-500 watt amp (at least) to go with it later on in the future.

You can get a very nice SQL sub AND amp to power it for way under $600...

RL-P 12" for $250 + $160ish for a Hifonics amp to power it = much better than 2 12" duals in a bandpass.

If you want more SPL than SQ, go ported with your enclosure. If you are looking for more sound quality, sealed FTW.

for 600 hell no
Do you want SQ or SPL
well i want some spl more than anything. the infinity perfects are 175, buy one get one is the deal right now, so its 2 for 175. but i dont want to pay that much if its not great. i want something with excellent spl for the price. id love to travel to a competition...

RE SX for 350 new or less if you get one used here and a 1600 hifonics amp for 150-200 more. you should have alot more sound then you currently do with a nice ported box that since you have no employment you can build on your own with the free time

i hear those subs are pretty good for SQ but for SPL they shouldnt be considered really
