What kind of Audio guy are you?

SQL here aswell..i want it to be loud as all hell but sound even brighter..

if im listing to dropkick murphys, i want the bagpipes to scream, and the kickdrum to pound. but when im drivin down the street with my buddy sean listning to late nite tip. i want him to be impressed (he is the basshead of bassheads) and say "holy shit

hell yeah i just love how Cadence to Arms sounds.. just amazing...then breaking off into Do or Die it just jamms..

lol i change my mind almost every day on what I want to do with my system. First I wanted an SQ system (which is why i had the magnum) and I was going to get a high end comp set and dedicated midbass but that idea got scrapped when i sold the magnum.

The highs need to be really clean but still get loud enough to get over the mids/subwoofers. The subwoofers dont have to have the greatest SQ which I am going to make up for with the components and probably some 8's (if i can find any Power acoustik ones) for midbass in the back.

I came up with a full Power Acoustik setup (almost like monte's but not quite as big of box for the woofers). The components are really clean (for the price i can get them) and the MOFO's will give me the SPL that I'm looking for. i will admit I am a basshead but I am not going to advertise it. alot of deadener will be put to use when spring comes along.... I don't want anyone to hear what is going on if they are outside my car (even though that's almost impossible) but I'm going to get as close as I can with as much deadener as my budget lets me.

I want a system that is heard 5 blocks away!!! I want a system, to set of at least 10 car alarms in a parking lot!! I want a system that would wake up my neighbors at 4 am in the morning and complement me on how loud it is!!

seriously, i want a system that can produce the music the way it was recorded, I wanna hear every single freakin subliminal message in a song. I hate it when a sub cant produce notes. I want a sub that can detach the retina from my eyeball, and still be happy about it (well maybe not that).

SQ. Been litening mostly to jazz and classical nowadays just to hear the system itself.

Guess I'll go back to alternative and R&B soon, but I feel I always want to hear live performance music instead of studio recorded stuff.

i like to turn off the stereo and sing to myself. the musical production is perfect since its a live performance. however, there is some distortion when i have a sore throat. my butt is ported and tuned low so the bass is nice and clean and doesnt sound like farts. however sometimes my pole vent gets clogged and i need to make a pit stop.

ok. i like SQL.

I am a SQL guy. System isn't there yet, but I'm working on it (finally). And when I say SQL, I don't just mean bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I want to be able to feel guitar pics in my chest, just like they sound (feel) when you are there sitting next to it.
this is a goal i hope to achieve with my xxx mids.

anyways... i have different days. about 95% of the time some nice classic rock is in and i love listening to the guitars accompanied by the sweet blending of a bass guitar. bass must be very precise, and is not to overpower any other component of my system.

i'm an SPL man myself... i like to have some clarity to it, but most important, is how LOUD it is ... to bad this is making me go def (already in one ear). need to be more of an SQ man. i just cant see myself going with anything smaller than a 15'' //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i am considered an imaging freak on the sound q side. tonally i like it high and dry but smooth usually got me between 58-75(which is still a high average for average lol) on tonal scores but my imaging scores are almost perfect 4 times i was 2 points away from the highest aloud score for that (old rules). i hate speaker mechanical noises and i am a horn freak but i dont have horns now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif but i like my speakers that i do have i just dont get excited over them.

My audio preference...i like something crystal clear and clean, i dont need it to go loud all the time but i want it to be able to go loud when i want to show it off...i agree, i want to hear the guitar picks, i also like to hear teh beat in Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon, and the Rumble in Dont want Drama...thats a good song

I am a SQL guy. I listen to mostly jambands (phish, widespread panic, moe, etc.) and really shoot for extremely loud crisp clean quality. I try to get it like a concert experience in my car. I do like bass too, but just enough to blend well with the rest. Though still having it capable to rock your head off your shoulders when needed.
