Just like the title says, what kind of audio guy are you? What is your favorite part of a good sounding system? And if you use terms like airy or warm, please elaborate. I know what warm tang is like but I don't get the whole warm sound thing. And describe your system a little and some of the things you have done to acheive said sound in your system.
I guess I should go first.....well I am fairly certain that I am an SQ guy. I definately like bass and lots of it, especially since I listen to alot of Rap and R&B but I don't like sloppy farting bass, I just want it to be like what the artist intended. I like it to rumble when it is supposed to rumble and shake when it supposed to shake.
I like to hear everything in my music all the way down to the finger pics on a guitar (I listen to classic rock as well, plus whatever kind of rock you might call Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park, Rob Zombie, etc.) I like everyting to be even too, where one thing is not significantly louder than another...........except for bass of course. This is why I think that an EQ'd metal tweet is better than a silk, well at least from the few I have heard which is not extensive (and recently at a Fry's, Al & Eds and a Circuit City).
