What kind of amp should i get to get the best bass out of 2 15''Kicker SoloBaricL7s

Im not sure what kind of amplifier i should get a 2 or 4 channel, a Class D or a Mono Amplifier. Please tell me what you think i should get to power 2 15''Kicker SoloBaricL7s and get the best bass i can out of them and why.

Well since you didn't state a budget, I would get the US Amps 2000X. It's rated at 2000 watts mono, but probably more like 25-2600 depending on your electrical system. Heres the link http://usamps.com/default.asp?View=products/inv/usa-2000.htm Or if you had the money, you could get a Zapco 9.0, and that puts out 24-2500 watts as well. Here - http://zapco.com/nosound/index3.html These amps would be some of the best you could buy for those subs, because it would give you a clean 11-1300 watts rms to each. But if you are limited by budget, then I can think of some other options, but they won't be as nice as those two

USAmps are great, but if memory serves me correctly, the 2000 isnt a class D and so will draw LOTS from your electrics compared to the more efficient class D amp. For $1000 you could easily get 2 jbl 1200.1s, or an MTX8100D and have around $500 left over too!!!!

Yep you're right about that. The US's do take a lot of current. But if you can supply it, they are among the best, if not the best when it comes to power. You could grab a bd 1500 for less than a grand, and it would be nice too. I also like the 2 1200.1 idea.

so just slightly over your budget and it will pound the SHIT out of those subs..

power is a subs best friend...

with quality subs liek those, ge ahead and throw it at em...

Ample Audio, for me and I presume other knowledgeable car audio forum members, is like Jensen, Boss, Pyle, Pyramid, Legacy - its cheap crap which you should avoid like you should avoid a bullett in your head.............

yeh its class X, so what......its 3000watt PEAK..............repeat after me..............P.........E..........A..................K.......................not RMS......RMS you will be lucky to get half of that, around 1500RMS...................but it probably wont even do that...........it may do say 1000RMS on a good day - and how much of that will be distortion, have a think about that.

another point - why get a quality driver like the L7, and buy a $ita$$ amp????

there are lots of good D class amps out there, DEI, Viper, Memphis (ST1000D and Mojo) - these are just some of the few that will produce REAL power, real RMS and that is why they cost how much they do................
