What is?

I suppose people could confuse it with “social welfare programs”. Wealth transfer might be confusing too, as some might think “Robin Hood”.

What would be a good simple term that says exactly what it is?
It wouldn't be term really, more of a descriptive phase: federal tax dollars tend to flow from blue to red states.

"States are one person."

You are either extremely stupid or being very dishonest to try and make whatever stupid agenda you're trying to push.
Who said “states are one person”? It certainly wasn’t me, unless maybe it was in the post where I blamed all the black people in Mississippi for taking back more federal funds than they contribute?

How much taxes does the black population of Mississippi pay each year? What percentage of federal funds given to Mississippi is being used solely for the benefit of people with African ancestry? In fact, how much federal money that goes into those low population states would still be needed to maintain infrastructure and comply with various federal mandates (largely education related) if we were to halve the populations of those states? Do you count fantastic amounts of government money being pissed away on federal employees and contracts in certain states when you consider whether or not a state is a net taker?

I guess that answers the question though, you're a dullard and you are being disingenuous. Buy why not just cut to the chase and just spell out whatever you think this whole thing about states share of federal money means to you?

Not sure what heritage has to do with whether a state is a net taker or giver when looking at political leanings.

Are you suggesting that it’s only the black Republicans that gain from a state being a net-taker vs giver?

As for the funds, this is a discussion of the overall federal monies that flow into a state, compared to what that state pays in to the federal coffers, ranked by the state’s political leanings.
8:10 top takers are red states. The top giver states show a similar ratio, but with the majority being blue states.

Make all the excuses you want; it doesn’t change those facts. Maybe the red states should heed the Republican ideals of self-sufficiency, instead of having the Blue states carry them on their backs.

So it is safe to say that in your view Red Republican states take more than Blue Democratic states, is this correct?

It’s not my “view” or “opinion”, it’s an economic fact that of the top 10 taker states, the overwhelming majority are Republican. Either 7 or 8 out of 10.

This was my point and reason for me making the statements I made. Just because the state votes a certain color doesn't mean that is who is using all the "assistance" or the majority of. It's misleading.

You seem to be stuck on food stamps as the metric.
Both Jimi and I have posted reminders that we’re talking the flow of federal funds from giver states to taker states.
Those federal funds go to a lot more than food stamps, to include VA programs, healthcare, infrastructure, etc. .

Your premise is that the funds don’t benefit all state residents, but somehow are used by a specific group.
Not how it works.

You also seem to be suggesting that the voters don’t represent the overall population of the states. That’s certainly possible, but one would think that over time it would change as the non-voting majority would realize they are not being represented and get out there and flip the script.

Someone brought up Mississippi (3rd on the list, I believe). Mississippi has been a red state for 42 years.
That’s a long time for the Democrats to not to realize they are not being represented.

You seem to be stuck on the delusion that if you make the statements then everyone else's opinions or even facts are irrelevant.

Food Stamps was just ONE example. It just happens to cover more Democrat users than Republicans
How about the VA... Generally older people using VA benefits right, who also typically vote Democrat. Healthcare... Elderly? Democrats typically as well? Infrastructure... like police funding? Like in inner cities where they need more funding for fighting crime which is typically done by who? Who also typically vote for Democrats.

I am not suggestion that the voters don't represent the overall population of the states. What you are refusing to acknowledge is that just because the majority of a state votes a certain way does not mean the majority of the residence using assistance also votes the same way. What you are going off of for your position is an assumption. Unless you poll every person in each state then you do not know with certainty who is using the assistance's.
