What Is Wrong

lol depends on what kind of fuse u have, the one's I use u have to twist the plastic pieces like 20 circles before the fuse will come out. But in all sense the fuse shouldn't easily be pulled out no matter what. Thats probably the bad connection cuse ur amp will lose power every 1-2 seconds.

yeah my fuse is like yours, but while the engine is running it stays set, so maybe the fuse isnt the problem, im gonna conduct the rca cd player test and i need to buy new speaker wires anyways because im sharing 12 gauge with sometihng twice as skinny, but i dont know how to take my HU out cause a plate is blocking it.

found ur problem? better change it before something catches fire.

ok i checked all the wire connections and they were secure, but is it bad that i can pull the fuse at my battery apart easily?
yes, snug it up with a crimper or pliers.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

Replace the fuse before you do anything more costly or time consuming. The fuse should not come apart. Sounds like the solder joint on one end let go. That would cause fluctuations for sure.

hmmmmm ok i bought new speaker wire and i guess im gonna go buy a new fuse now, what size do you recommend with 1700 watts, and how exactly do you do the cd player rca cable check, cause i bought the rca cable and i dont know what to do next.

Bottoming out wouldnt make any sounds, just machanical sounds from the sub moving back and forth. But now that I think about it, its probably not ur problem. But yea try the old amp again.
Wrong, when a sub bottoms out, the VC hits the back plate. Its a VERY disticntive noise.

Hopefully you have at least 4awg. IF you do use a 150a fuse.
