I am using JL Audio components and a JL Audio 10” Sub. My question is, what is the best way to set channels 3 and 4 to get the most quality sound from this amp?
I am using Ch 1 and 2 for the components. Channel 3 and 4 for the Sub in mono. Channel 1 and 2 are easy to set up. Input mode will be set to Ch 1 and 2 HP/FR. There is a Frequency setting that goes from 15 Hz to 4 khz. I am going to try and set it at like 70 Hz? They recommend that you set gain to match HU voltage. My Alpine is a 2V unit so I will try and set it to 2V. It may be a little difficult to find since it only reads 9V to 0.02V. Halfway should be like 4.5V, so I am looking at like ¾ open.
Channel 3 and 4 is a bit more difficult for me. I will be using a single 4 ohm 10” woofer in mono. There are lots of settings starting with a mode switch. The mode can be set at HP/FR or LP/SP. Next, is a Low Pass Frequency control that goes from 50 Hz to 4 Khz. Then, High Pass Frequency that goes from 15 hz to 4 khz and a Hawkins control that goes from 0db to 10db. Next, is the Bass EQ. There is a Boost control that goes from 0db to 12 db. And, a frequency from 30hz to 80 hz. Then we have the gain setting that again needs to be set at 2V. Last is a input mode that is 2 ch or 4 ch, of course this needs to go to 4 Channel.
Any help on these settings will be appreciated.
