Im in the market for two new 10" or 8" subs. I have about 250 to spend on each sub.....but i can't decide on which subs to buy...ive looked at L7s but have heard nothing good about them..i am also looking into somthing from JL.

Now i have a 400 watt fosgate amp and an old atomic 10" (its awsome) im looking for really tight bass in a medium to small sealed box...

what do you guys think???

JL definetly isn't going to be the best sub for the price. Maybe the ED 10 A, its about 270, but needs some serious power in a sealed enclosure, 700-1000. SO that may get too expensive. The ED 10 0's are only 185 and only need about 650 or so. You really have a lot of options, so what is your budget on amps.

amp budget......dunno...i figure i can break in the new subs with the one i have now.....then if i need i can wait and get a bigger better amp.....i dont really have a budget for an amp after that.

well in all honesty 400 watts isn't really going to move two 250 dollar subs very much. So if you've got the cash you might as well get an amp the same time as the subs. You could also look into some RE SE 10's, at http://www.respl.com.

they were around 105 from http://www.thezeb.com i like them, but the tweeters are a bit harsh, and midbass is lacking haha, so in all honesty they are decent. If you have a few extra bucks look into the cdt component sets from thezeb, i think its the 61a thats like 150, those are supposed to be very nice.

You might want to take a look at the pioneer premier IMPP's, i like them and they give really good tight bass in a sealed box. I used the gold cone impp's (TS-W1041DVC). The ones i had were rated at 400w but i pushed it constantly at over 500 in a large ported box with no problems ( well i fried the voice coil every 3 months ). But i put two of those in my friends car in sealed enclosures and ha hasn't had any trouble from them yet and that was about a year ago. I got mine for $225 when they first came out so it should fit right in your budget and you wont have to worry about a different amp.

i would save up another $50 and get the Stereo Integrity Magnum D2. IMO, its the best value sub. not the most affordable, but the best valued //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

My brother might be selling a pair of Pioneer Imps, 12" in a dual sealed box. Let me know if you're interested via PM.
