i pretty much just listen to mp3 cds in my car and under regular data format the sound quality sucks. it makes one of my tweeters crackle. doesnt sounds pretty. i actually turned the radio on today cause it sounded so bad. anyway, i used the HighMAT burn setting in windows media player and it seems to work very well. So I am wondering if other people know of an even better mp3/wma formatting program that will give me the best sound quality. prefferably something i can download for free. thanks!

trevor.. Are you talking about the Nero program that takes tracks from a CD and saves them to your comp in whatever format you want?

Okay. I didn't get the question... I thought he was looking for a good program to rip CD tracks and keep a good quality.

But he's needing a good burn engine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

It doesn't matter what program you use. Using a different program will not turn the crappy track into a semi-crappy track. The last time I checked, burning software did not change the quality of the audio tracks. . .

i use windows media player to rip my cd's at 320 in mp3 format

then i use nero to burn the mp3 disc... if you have a crappy soundcard you will notice your burnt cd's lack quality no matter what the source is, i've found that when i burn a cd from my computer it sounds comparable to the source, when i burn the same cd from my friends computer, it sounds distorted and the high end is gone, even though its the same source

thats not true. use windows data, then use WMP HighMAT format. HUGE HUGE HUGE difference. i just want to see if anything is better than that. i dont expect it to be CD quality.

but its still converting the files to that highmat format isnt it? so the wmp is your converting software so there is no fair comparison.

Acid Pro....Sony makes it, and if you just take the time to learn you can make a mixtape cd with the tracks fading into each other.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
