What is pre amp output voltage???

Kenwood is made by JVC. They are practically the same thing. If you scroll through their menus, they have slightly different overlays but the options are almost the same, all the wording is the same. I bought a new kenwood deck a couple of months ago and the box & manual were labbelled JVCKenwood. The kenwood lasted less than a week before I took it back and got an Alpine.
kenwood bought out jvc.

That makes me feel better - my HU isn't installed yet, but it's got 2vs. I was worried. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
naw i think preout voltage is over rated, my alpine 2v sounds GREAT. Still havnt ordered my 9400bh yet lol trying to decide if its worth 175 to me to have pandora and bt lol

I'm using a JVC HU and I'm actually impressed with the sound quality. Bought it because it's double DIN and has variable color display. The HD radio I could live without though, the sensitivity is kinda poor. I also wish it had more than 3 bands of EQ (soon to be rectified externally) and one level of loudness. Overall though it's been a great deck for the money.

4V v.s. 5V is a non issue. I believe the difference is the type of transistors used in the preout driver - MOSFETs can drive closer to the rails than bipolar transistors.

Wait. i dont understan pandora? Like i can just pull up pandors on my iphone and play it through my aux input on my current sony xplod HU? Does the JVC have pandora built in??? meaning i dont need to run it through my phone and waste my data plan??? that would be amazing.

Haha, no. It means that you can see the ID information of the music you're playing, and you're able to control everything through the head unit itself. The majority of newer head units should have this now.
