what is needed to build a box

I use two saw horses, clamps, a skill saw with a guide i made (straight cuts) glue and screws or nails, and a jigsaw (im good with it). You can never measure enough, make triple sure before you cut and account for the blade thickness in your cuts

just remember, its the glue that holds the box together.. Not the screws!!
A glued and screwed joint will hold better because the screws will extend the hold into the material rather than only the faces of the material glued together, which on mdf isnt too hard to break two glued piece apart...the first couple layers of mdf tear away from the bulk of the panel...but if screws were used, you would pretty much have to destroy the pieces to get them apart.

There's a test in wood magazine on wood glue joints where, normal butt-joints definitely benefited from the screws being present and took considerably more pull-apart strength during testing along with angled pressure because the screws transfer the force into the wood, away from the pivot point (the joint)...taking more force for failure.

A properly wood glued and clamped joint is rediculously strong, but screws will add to the joint especially with normal butt-joints in mdf....but yes, wood glue is the most important component in the enclosures construction imo
