what is needed to build a box

This is what I use.

Tite bond 2, Compass, screws/clamps, a rotozip, a drill, and some cardboard for a stencil.

You don't need the screws, but I currently don't have any clamps, so I use them.

3/4" mdf, you can find this at home depot

I use titebond wood glue, also food at any home depot

Depending on how big of a box you may want to use either threaded rod or 2x4s for bracing

You'll nee either lots of clamps or screws to hold the wood in place while it dries

x2 pretty much everything but 3/4" mdf and 3/4" birch plywood are good choices, titebond II is what I use, table saw, router with circle jig, 3/32" drill bit for predrilling, phillips-head impact quality driver bits for your drill save time, 1 5/8" coarse-thread screws for joints, and 1 1/4" coarse thread drywall screws to attach 2 panels to eachother for double baffling etc.

just a quick question, from this box plan

im going to place the box in the trunk, with the sub facing inward. how much distance should i leave out between the sub/box and the trunk wall?
