If you do a Google search for "JVC CS-GS5120" it comes up with a 12" sub, listed by many different retailers as a powered speaker. What exactly does that mean? usually means its a amplified speaker. a subwoofer with a built in amp. i searched that part #, its just a regular subwoofer,unpowered.
